Raga

A raga is one of the melodic modes used in Indian classical music. It uses five or more notes to construct a melody. Even Bollywood music use ragas in their compositions. Ragas are connected to different times of the day, or seasons. A raga consists of at least five notes, and each raga provides the musician with a musical framework within which to improvise. The specific notes within a raga can be reordered and improvised by the musician.
