Indian Dance Academy: Bharatanatyam
Join us at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds for Bharatanatyam Dance Classes every Friday during term time!
Bharatanatyam:
Time
: 5:15 pm to 6:30 pm- Beginner's dance and vocal class | 6:30 to 8:00 pm- Intermediate dance and vocal class
Dates:
18th September 2026 to 9th July 2026 (3 terms in a year)
Tutor:
Ms Dhivya Sundararaman
Duration:
1 hour 30 minutes for dance and vocal.
Age
: 5 years and above
Venue:
Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD), 98 Chapeltown Rd, Leeds LS7 4BH
Fees:
£150 per term (10 weeks)/ £405 annual fee (30 weeks) inclusive of 10% discount | Sibling Discount: 10% off the total fee for both siblings when they join together | Special Student rate (Uni/College) £75 per term | A 50% discount is available for parents learning the same discipline as their child
*ISTD exams are optional and require an additional fee beyond the standard fee.

After each class, students gain access to engaging practice videos, helpful study materials shared through our Bharatanatyam WhatsApp group and Google Classroom, along with personalised feedback and regular assessments to support their growth!

Students will have the chance to perform at vibrant community events, such as:
Navratri, Onam, Pongal, Ugadi , Diwali
PARAMPARA: Bi-annual showcase

Our senior students have the opportunity to grow as future educators by shadowing our tutors and assisting in beginner-level classes. This initiative offers:

It's a meaningful way to nurture talent, build confidence, and strengthen our dance community.

Parents receive half-price tickets, allowing them to accompany and support their child's artistic journey.
