Kirpal Singh Panesar is one of the brightest talents to have emerged in the UK. He is regarded amongst the leading Tar-Shehnai & Dilruba performers of today. Kirpal began his learning of Tar Shehnai and Dilruba with Ustad Surjeet Singh (disciple of Pt Ram Narayan) in 1994. Kirpal has been performing at venues across the UK such as the Lowry Theatre in Salford, Purcell Room in London and Curve Theatre in Leicester & also performed extensively across Europe and India. Kirpal's versatility and soulful playing has led him to acompany many artists such as Pt Rajan Mishra, Ustad Sukhwinder Singh Pinki & he has had the honor to perform with his late Ustad Ji, Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan.As well as being a talented artist, Kirpal dedicates his time teaching students of all levels and age groups at the SAA-uk Hindustani Academy. Kirpal's skill of improvisation and ability to portray various emotions through his music leaves one captivated.
