Zuheb Ahmed Khan

Zuheb Khan started his training when he was only 3 years old, with the support of his grandfather Ustad Hashmat Ali Khan, and maternal uncle and well known tabla player Ustad Akram Khan. A classical tabla virtuoso, Zuheb belongs to the famous Ajrara Gharana, and he is the son of Ustad Naushad Ahmed Khan.

His consistently brilliant and exciting performances made Zuheb appreciated in the field of percussion in his own country as well as abroad. He has performed with many Indian classical artists including Ustad Shujaat Khan, Ustad Aashish Khan, and Pt. Satish Vyas, as well as great jazz musicians like Lars Møller, Marcela Hersch, and George Garzone.
