Priyank Krishna

Born in Allahabad into a musical family, Priyank Krishna got music in his inheritance. Priyank started his formal training in classical music at a very tender age learning from his father, prominent clarinet player Pt. Ram Krishna.

Accompanying his father in various concerts, today Priyank is carving out a niche for himself particularly in the field of saxophone. In his recitals Priyank likes to combine the melody of Gayaki and the intricacies of Tantrakari, along with keeping the effectiveness of a Western instrument like the saxophone. His performances have been praised by audiences and music critics alike. In addition to the saxophone, Priyank also has an expertise in playing the Bansuri (Indian bamboo flute).

During his musical journey, Priyank had the chance to be part of some of the most prestigious music ensembles in India and on an international level. He is approved as a “B-High” Grade artist of All India Radio, and he performed alongside Mame Khan – Coke Studio Fame, Rajasthan Roots and Kutle Khan Project, to name a few.
