Digital Marketing Assistant

The Role

Do you love social media? Really love it? If you spend hours on TikTok and Instagram spotting trends before they go viral and thinking “I'd make that better,” this could be your dream role!

As our Digital Marketing Assistant, you'll be right in the thick of supporting the creation, editing, and managing of content for SAA-uk's social media channels.

What You'll Do

  • Support with creating stand-out content – shoot and edit social-first videos, design flyers, and write captions that grab attention.
  • Spot trends early – keep your finger on the pulse and suggest fresh, creative ways to ride them.
  • Shape brand voice – help craft engaging copy that feels authentic and on-brand.
  • Grow communities – support with DMs, comments and keeping our audiences engaged.
  • Track and report – assist with reporting and share insights to level-up performance.

 

Who You Are

  • Social media obsessed – Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube… you know what works and why.
  • Creative & visual – confident shooting, editing, and designing content that tells a story.
  • Proactive & collaborative – you bring ideas to the table and report to the Marketing manager.
  • Tech-savvy – experience with photography, videography, editing softwares (Adobe/Canva a bonus).
  • Organised & reliable – detail-driven and able to deliver under pressure.
  • Hungry to learn – excited to grow in content creation, strategy, and analytics.
  • Passionate about arts & culture – a love for music, dance, and storytelling is a bonus.

Location: from SAA-uk's office in Mabgate Mills, at events venues in Leeds, and working from home with prior agreement with the Marketing manager.

Compensation: £24,570 pro-rata (£14,742 per annum) – based on The Real Living Wage
Contract: 22.5 hours, Part-time, 3 days per week

South Asian Arts-uk (SAA-uk) is the centre of excellence in Indian classical music and dance. Since our creation back in June 1997, we have been a pioneering charity organisation, focused on celebrating and educating South Asian Classical dance and music, as well as pushing the boundaries of how traditional and contemporary South Asian arts are taught, performed and experienced by audiences.
