Ahmed Iqbal

Ahmed Iqbal is a gifted 12-year-old with an exceptional talent for musical instruments, a passion evident from a very young age. As a toddler, he would sit at the family keyboard, attempting to play theme tunes from his favourite cartoons while still in nappies.

Coming from a family rich in musical heritage, with all his older brothers being multi-instrumentalists, Ahmed's love for music was nurtured early on. He developed a deep affection for Qawwali music and specifically requested a tabla. Captivated by its rhythmic beats, he would listen to Qawwali tracks and try to play along, proudly proclaiming, "I am Fateh Ali Khan!"

After a long search for quality instruction, Ahmed's family discovered SAA-uk and enrolled him in tabla classes. Since then, his skills have advanced remarkably, reflecting his dedication and passion. Ahmed practices his instrument daily, driven by an unwavering sense of self-motivation.

In addition to his proficiency with the tabla, Ahmed is also an accomplished piano player. His talent and hard work earned him a place in the prestigious Yorkshire Young Musicians programme, alongside other gifted students from the SAA-uk Music Academy.

Ahmed's musical journey continues to thrive, showcasing his exceptional talent and steadfast commitment.
