Building musical foundations through rhythm, sound and play

Why Early Years Music?

• Early years are a perfect time for children to connect with music

• Children naturally respond to sound, rhythm, and patterns

• Builds listening skills, coordination, focus, and sense of timing

• Exposure to beats and rhythm helps children feel comfortable with music, even without an instrument

• Games and playful activities make learning musical patterns and rhythms fun

• Sessions are short, active, and engaging, suited to young attention spans

• Children enjoy music in a relaxed, age-appropriate way

What Children Will Do

• Learn songs from Songs of Asia, including sargam and geet

• Explore rhythm and beats using tabla patterns and bols

• Use shakers and percussion instruments to understand timing

• Participate in fun musical games and activities

• Develop listening skills through pitch and swara awareness
