Experience the mesmerising sound of the sitar as Sanskrati Wahane makes her Leeds debut at the stunning Howard Assembly Room, in proud partnership with Darbar Festival.
A rising star of the legendary Etawah gharana, Sanskrati's artistry combines extraordinary technical precision with deep emotional resonance.
First discovered through a viral home video at just 14, she has since captivated audiences across India and beyond.
A disciple of Ustad Shahid Parvez and Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, her music embodies both gayaki ang (vocal expression) and tantrakari ang (instrumental brilliance).
She will be joined by Junaid Ali, one of the UK's most exciting young tabla players, whose intuition and energy perfectly complement her sound.
🌟 “Ragas are the soul of classical music,” says Wahane.
Come and feel that soul — live in Leeds.
Don't miss this rare chance to witness one of Indian classical music's brightest new voices.
