Sayani Ghosh

Sayani Ghosh is a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer based in Leeds, promoting Odissi Indian classical dance in the heart of the city and surrounding areas. She has been learning from a very early age, initially from her mother Sujata Ghosh, and then trained at Gurukul of Kelucharan Mahapatra, Dr. Rina Jana and Enakshi Sinha in Canada.

Sayani is a trained Kathak dancer and teacher with over 12 years of experience in teaching dance. She is also associated with Hindol Dance and Music College in India, of which she is one of the Artistic Directors as well as online teacher. She has worked as choreographer for several companies and productions in India; she has also performed in India and Dubai as part of popular dance troupes throughout the years.

Sayani is a Gold Medalist (Sangeet Probar in 8th year exam) in Odissi from Bangiya dance Sangeet Parishad, West Bengal, India in 2013-14. Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh: Sangeet Visharad in Kathak Dance
Second position (5th year exam) in Eastern zone in 2009-10. Rajya Chhatra-Yuva Utsav 3rd position statewide in West Bengal in Odissi in 2006, awarded by Government of West Bengal, India and many other prizes and awards over the years.
