Anamika Chowdhury

Anamika Chowdhury is a singer, composer and live performer from Guwahati, India. An artist of Assamese heritage and born to a Bengali family, Anamika is passionate about putting her cultural identity at the forefront of her music and celebrating talent from across India.

Anamika is best known for winning the prestigious Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs International competition in 2008, mentored and judged by well-respected musicians such as Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar.
Anamika has since gone on to perform over two thousand live shows across the world, and has had the privilege of working as a lead female vocalist with the esteemed Bollywood singer, Aditya Narayan and his band from 2019-20.

Anamika is currently in Yorkshire, pursuing a Masters degree at the University of Chester. Anamika is also supporting SAA-uk's North Indian (Hindustani) Music Academy as the Gayaki Tutor, exploring the intricacies of vocal music from the subcontinent, with young students of music.
