Inés Soria-Donlan
An advocate for the freedom to create and experience art for all and of the power of cross-sector, inclusive approaches to create meaningful change, Inés has worked nationally and globally as a network builder, project manager, researcher, producer, musician, creative practitioner and, most recently, as a senior leader in challenge-led, collaborative research.
She is currently Acting Head of Interdisciplinary Research at the University of Leeds and Research Manager for Creativity, Partnerships and Impact at the University's Horizons Institute, an interdisciplinary research incubator for global challenges.
Inés is co-editor, with Prof. Paul Cooke, of Participatory Arts in International Development (Routledge, 2019) and part of The May Group, whose book on Youth Voice is currently in development (Routledge, forthcoming).
Having joined SAA-uk as Learning and Participation Coordinator 2015-16, Inés is passionate about the value of South Asian arts and culture for all the people of Yorkshire and beyond and is delighted to have returned to SAA-uk as Chair in 2023.
