SPOTLIGHT 2021 (Part 2): Making It My Own
Making It Your Own
Making It Your Own is a project supporting young musicians to find the resources, support and development opportunities to compose original work.
Yorkshire-based santoor player Eeshar Singh is a talented and skilled musician, bringing a rare twist of modern Santoor techniques blended with the old. Eeshar has been developing in musicianship since the age of 7 under the guidance of his Guru,
Ustad Harjinderpal Singh
, through the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara, or teacher-student tradition. Eeshar has performed for renowned platforms such as Darbar in 2020, and is fast becoming one of the strongest rising stars of Indian classical musicians in the UK.
Eeshar will be exploring themes and frameworks that challenge him as a musician, and will be supported through this programme to compose and present a santoor performance unique to his personality as an artist.
Artist:
Eeshar Singh
Mentors:
