Subhan Iqbal
Subhan at just 14 years old, has nurtured a profound passion for music from a very young age. Like his older brothers and younger sibling, Subhan plays a variety of Indian and Western instruments.
He has dedicated around four years to mastering the sitar and has recently begun playing the tabla. Additionally, he is skilled in playing the harmonium and keyboard.
Whenever the brothers come together, they create harmonious music, with a particular fondness for performing qawwali.
Subhan receives his musical education not only from South Asian Arts UK but also through lessons at Yorkshire Young Musicians.
A committed and earnest musician, Subhan practices daily, sometimes with a seriousness that surpasses his years. Being home-educated has allowed him to devote more time to music than many of his peers, further deepening his dedication.
Subhan's love for music has inspired him to mentor younger students in playing the sitar, with the hope of passing on his passion and fostering a new generation of musicians.
