Stand Apart: Sing Together
When: Saturday 14th August 2021
Time(s): 11:00am / 7:30pm
Where: Carriageworks Theatre

A feast for lovers of folk music: immerse yourself in the songs of England and Punjab with Kinaara, as SAA-uk and Carriageworks Theatre present Stand Apart: Sing Together!

Accompanied by John Hogg on guitar and Simon Henry on drums, Satnam Galsian and her band, Kinaara, bring the traditional sounds of East and West together with wonderful songs such as ‘Lang Aaja', ‘Chan Kitha Guzari Aayi' and ‘She Moved Through the Fair'. All you have to do is pick a colourful spot, learn the notes and sing along!  If you don't have any singing experience (other than crooning in the bathroom), not to worry - it's all about having fun. Take part in a safe and socially distanced space to project your voice after a year of lockdown, and learn something new with mums, dads, brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts together!

Join the 11am session to hum, sing and clap along with family – or if you're looking for an entertaining Saturday evening with friends, come along to our 7:30pm session.
