Across the globe, Summer Solstice is marked by traditions ancient and sacred. At SAA-uk, we welcome the return of the sun through music — immersive, transformative, and timeless.

This year marks a milestone 14th anniversary of gathering from evening till dawn, united by humanity, music, and Summer's promise of days soaked in light and hope.

Surrendering to rhythms as old as time itself while inviting along contemporary expressions, Summer Solstice is a melting pot of the old, the new, and the future of music.

This year, we are honoured to welcome Santoor Maestra, Kamaljeet Kaur, returning from the USA for a rare performance in Leeds. She is joined by a cosmic lineup of artists, weaving sonic landscapes that transcend time:

7:15PM –  Doors open

7:30PM – Dawn meal is served up until midnight

8:30 – 10PM: Simrandeep Kaur (Taus) & Harkiran Singh Sahota (Tabla)

10:20 – 11:40PM: Laksan Sakthiruban (Violin), Ramkeeran Sivasubramaniam (Ghatam), Rambranavan Sivasubramaniam (Mridingam)

12:00 - 1:30AM: Kamaljeet (Santoor) & Jas Ahluwalia (Tabla)

1:50 - 3:20AM: Sonali (vocals), Guru Sri Anjan Majumdar (Harmonium), Aniruddha Mukherjee (Tabla) & Kamalbir Singh (Violin)

Melting into the offerings of reflection that come with this celestial time of year, we have left behind the rumble of the city in favour of calm. Our venue, White Rose Park Hub, situates you in the heart of serenity, giving you the freedom to sink into the music entirely.

Summer Solstice is a wonderful opportunity to bring along friends and family—perhaps to mark a birthday, enjoy a special midsummer evening together, or even host a pajama party!

With its alignment to World Music Day and International Yoga Day, the celebration beautifully reflects the spirit of community, creativity, and wellbeing—after all, music is yoga for the mind and soul. 🎶

We look forward to welcoming you in for a night like no other.
