It's your time to be inspired! In a special one-of-a-kind workshop, the inventor of the pioneering instrument Navtar, Vishnu Ramprasad, will take you on a sensational exploration of music creation.

Bring along your curiosity, instruments, and innovative spirit as you uncover golden insights into the journey of musicianship as told by the internationally performing artist himself.

In this evening of discovery stirred by the unfamiliar yet enchanting sounds of Indian Classical and Western melodies floating from the 9 strings instrument, be ready for inspiration to spark. You will develop a greater musical awareness while discovering new and exciting possibilities of what the future of music holds and how you can shape it.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the guitar, sitar, and sarod came together as one to meld their distinct sounds in a memorable evening of music magic? Well wonder no longer.

This Spring, international composer, vocalist, and guitarist Vishnu Ramprasad will unveil his remarkable musical invention, Navtar, to Leeds for the very first time. Coming together with internationally acclaimed South Indian percussionist Prathap Ramachandra, the duo will be presenting a unique performance of contemporary and classic Carnatic pieces.

Now while you're eagerly counting down the days to Spring, when the sounds and sight of Navtar arrive to you just in time for the first blooms, to tide over your curiosity in the meantime,

The evening will close with a Q&A with the artists, giving you the chance to discover more!
