The santoor is a trapezoid-shaped instrument made from walnut wood with a staggering 100 strings. Dating back to Mesopotamian times (1600-900 B.C.), the santoor is an ancient instrument that has survived through time. Our santoor classes are taught by Ustad Harjinderpal Singh, a senior disciple of the santoor.
Within this class, students will learn the very delicate light hits and glides used to create the santoor's unique sounds along with the positioning and accuracy necessary to create a melody.
