Simrandeep Kaur
Simrandeep Kaur is an Early Years and Music Tutor at South Asian Arts-UK (SAA-uk), where she leads the development and growth of Early Years work across Leeds and beyond.
Simrandeep plans and coordinates the delivery of sessions, teaches bowed strings at academies and summer schools, and designs and delivers creative arts-based activities in schools.
She is also the only female Taus exponent in the UK, passionately preserving and promoting this rare bowed instrument. Simrandeep has performed at various prestigious venues across India and the UK, sharing the rich heritage of Sikh and South Asian classical music.
Alongside performance, she has contributed to education programmes focused on early childhood development, using music and storytelling to create inclusive and culturally vibrant learning environments.
